EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
1.PROGRAM OFFICER(Energy sector )
Specific duties:
•To collect any analyze
information regarding the energy sector in Tanzania through relevant
documents, meeting s/ seminors and site visits.
•To present JICA in various meetings seminars /workshop related to the sectors and make minutes of those meetings
•To join monitoring and evaluating activities of on-going and completed energy projects of
•JICA and make necessary fallow- up
•To publicize JICA activities in the energy sector through wesite, leaflets and press releases
General duties
•To do coordination and
logistic work with Tanzanian organizations and development partners for
smooth operation of JICA activities, which include letter-drafting and
mission arrangements (cf. appointment making,accommodation and transport
arrangement)
•Any other duties as requested by JICA
Applicants should have the fallowing basic qualification:
1.Good communication and
interpersonal skills both in English and Kiswahili(knowledgement of
Japanese language will be an added advantage).
2.Able to work as a team and independently
3.Able to travel through out Tanzania and abroad
4.Computer skills:word,excel, and power point
5.Expected age: between 25and 40
6.Working experience of not less than 3 years in civil service of developmentwork
7.Have common sense of
punctuality, discipline and willingness to work in the ever changing
environment( experience of working with donors agency and knowledge of
energy will be added advantages).
8.Minimum bachelors degree in any field. A masters degree and academic background on energy will be added advantages.

2.PROGAM OFFICER(Water and Sanitation Sector)
Specif duties:
-To collect and analyze
information regarding water and sanitation sector in Tanzania through
relevant documents,meetings/seminars and site visits
-To join monitoring and evaluation activities of on-going and completed water projects of JICA and make necessary follow-up
-To represent JICA in various meeting/seminars/workshops related to the sector and make minutes on those meetings
-To publicize JICA activities in water and sanitation sector through website,leaflets and press releases
General duties:(as in 1 above)
Applicants should have the following basic qualification:
In addition to those described in 1(1 to 5 above) aplicants should have the following qualifications:
1.Minimum Bachelor's degree in
civil or water Resources Engineering from a recorginized
university.Master's degree in relevant field will be added advantage
2.Prio working experience of
not less the 3 years in water suply and sanitation sector in Tanzania at
government/public organization,NGO or private consulting
company(experience in/with local government Authority will be added
advantage)
3.Have common sense of punctuality,displine and willngness to work in the evr changing environment

3.ASSISTANT PROGRAM OFFICER(Project Implementation Support)
Duties:
-To support JICA's procedures
with regard to loan agreements,disbursements,and interest
payments/repayments from the Government of Tanzania for Japanese ODA
loan projects
-To support JICA's procedures with regadr to preparation and implementation for technical cooperation projects.
-To do coordination and
logistic work with Tanzanian organizations and Development partners for
smooth operation of JICA activities,which includes letter-drafting and
mission arrangements(cf.appointment making,accomodation and transport
arrangement)
-Any other duties as requested by JICA
Applicants should have the following basic qualifications:
Basic qualification:As in 1(1 to 4)
Education:Bachelor's in any field
Prior Work Experience
1.Working experience of not less than 2 years in civil service or development work
2.Have common sense of
puctuality,discipline and willingness to work in the ever changing
environment(Experience of working with adonor agency will be an added
advantage)
Computer skill:Word,Excel and PowerPoint
Expected Age:25 and 35

4.ASSISTANT PROGRAM OFFICER(Volunteer Program Support)
Duties:
-To asses and analyze submitted request for JICA volunteers different organizations
-To support the volunteer coordinators in matters relating to he management of the JICA volunteer programm
-To be liaise with concerned organizations in matters relating JICA volunteer program
-To provide information
necessary for JICA volunteer's activities including identification of
needs and conditions of volunteer requesting organization
-Topublicize JICA volunteer activities through website leaflets and press releases
-To prepare official documentations and translation of documents from kiswahili to English
-Any other duties as requested by JICA
